Finally the much awaited iPhone unlocking and jailbreaking software "Pwnage Tool 2.0"
is released for public downloading, a more official announcement with

The new version of the free software "Pwnage Tool 2.0" allows iPhone owners to 
jailbreak and unlock older iPhones, and jailbreak iPhone 3Gs and iPod Touches. The current version of the softwares supports only the 2.0 firmware.
As of now Pwnage Tool 2.0 is released for Mac OS only but a windows port is expected soon. The software can be downloaded directly from the link below:
